A film, Making of an Activist follows the decade-long efforts of DeRay Mckesson and allies in their push for pivotal change after the killing of Michael Brown at the hands of police. After 400 days of protest and still no justice they look to the power of new technology to fight an age old problem. As they gather the data, they make a shocking discovery about the extent of unchecked police violence across the USA, and despite mounting odds, continue their fight to dismantle a system that continues to shield officers from accountability.
